Welcome to Leigh, Atherton & Tyldesley where we are in our fourth year of Local Exchange.
The Ambassadors of Leigh, Atherton & Tyldesley are currently delivering SPINNING TALES, delivering a series of workshops covering different aspects of theatre. In their third year they delivered a community play called BEST EVER PLACE EVER a play created from conversations with local people/groups and performed by a community cast.
Our residency in Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley has led us to create important partnerships with groups and individuals across the area, they delivered a memorable Den Festival in 2021 hosting 27 socially distant performances, events and workshops. Highlights including BLOODY ELLE – THE GIG, interactive children’s Digital Ghost Hunt by Kit Theatre, LocalTale the playwriting competition and much more. We have connected with various groups and organisations, including Wigan Council, The Turnpike Gallery, Leigh Spinners Mill, Leigh Film Society, The Canal & Rivers Trust (Bridgewater branch) and Umbrella Arts, as well as multiple schools from across the area.
