The Elders Company is for people aged 60+ to take part in regular sessions to develop their theatre skills.
As part of The Elders Company you will develop your performance skills, learn more about theatre and work inter-generationally with our Young Company. A new Company is recruited each year and they will work together regularly from September 2023 to July 2024.
We are currently recruiting for our 2023/2024 Elders Company.
To find out more, we recommend attending one of our Taster sessions. If, after attending the taster sessions, you wish to apply for the Elders Company, please fill in the online form, which will be available from 7 August. If you prefer a paper copy of the form please contact Katrina Heath.

Timeline of application process
- Application form available on the website
- Attend a taster session between 18 and 23 August.
- Deadline for application form to be submitted – Friday 25 August
- Notification of decision – week beginning 4 September
- Launch event for 2023/2024 Company Members – Wednesday 20 September
As well as weekly sessions, Company members gain exclusive insights into the theatre by having opportunities to:
- Attend special events, take part in intergenerational working with our Young Company, apply to take part in creative outcomes, including theatre productions (both elders, intergenerational and main stage productions if community ensembles are required).
- Attend public performances for free (subject to availability).
- Receive a fortnightly bulletin with news and opportunities.
- At the end of the year, Elders Company members become Graduates of the Company.
