Students from The Manchester College came in to do work experience in our costume department.
In partnership with MADE we welcomed in 10 fashion and textile students from The Manchester College to do work experience in our costume department.
Over 3 days the students came in and were involved in various workshops led by industry professionals. These ranged from pattern cutting, embroidery, breaking down fabrics and more.
The students were also welcomed to watch our production Untitled F*uck M*ss S**gon to learn about the quick costume changes, the different eras of costumes involved and a Q&A with the assistant director.
Then at the end of the 3 days they were set a task of designing their own versions of our upcoming show Romeo & Juliet to our head of Wardrobe Tracy Dunk for feedback.
