Armoghan Mohammed
Chair
Armoghan leads the PwC practice for the North of England overseeing PwC’s people, client and community activity across the region.
Having grown up in the North, he is a proud supporter of its people, places and businesses, and is passionate about promoting social mobility and providing equal access to opportunities for everyone.
Armoghan has always loved culture and the arts, especially the theatre, and sees the power of harnessing an all-inclusive cultural offering to celebrate the wide diversity of communities we have the benefit of enjoying in Manchester and the North.
He is dedicated to working with local businesses and the community to make Manchester and the North a great place to invest, work, and live.

Kate Vokes
Deputy Chair
Kate Vokes is a Non Executive Director at Bruntwood, with particular focus on the property business’ organisational culture, brand, and social impact. Bruntwood has a long history of supporting the arts as part of its purpose to Create Thriving Cities.
Kate is also Chair of the Oglesby Charitable Trust which has given over £25m to regional charities since 2001, many in the arts, including the Manchester International Festival, HOME, S!ck Festival, Contact, Lowry, Storyhouse and Bolton Octagon. The Trust helped the Royal Exchange Theatre bring the Local Exchange project to life with the creation of the Den pop-up theatre, reaching new communities across Greater Manchester.
Kate is also a Trustee of Shared Health Foundation and Focused Care. Kate is a supporter and appreciator of art and can be found in the audience rather than as a creator.

Rachel Armstrong
Trustee
Rachel is an experienced international energy and climate change professional, with over 20 years of private sector experience working on infrastructure and construction management, change management, stakeholder engagement and project and programme delivery.
A mother, wife and mentor she is committed to learning and making a difference, specifically in the area of climate change response and decarbonisation of industry. Rachel is the Director of Industrial Decarbonisation and Emissions Trading at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, she is based in Salford, working to deliver a thriving net zero economy and building back better and greener.
She has always been an avid theatre goer and is delighted to be able to contribute to the Royal Exchange community with her business skills.

Ellen Hanlon
Trustee
Ellen is a solicitor with over 30 years experience.
She currently works as Chief Legal Officer for a digital advertising business.
She is a Trustee of Caritas Care, a charity which provides a wide range of services including adoption, fostering, disability support services and ex-offenders programmes.

Nicole May
Trustee
Nicole is Executive Producer at Young Identity. Young Identity is an arts organisation and a charity delivers dynamic poetry and spoken word workshops for young people aged 13–30 working with educational institutions, communities and arts organisations locally, nationally and internationally.
Nicole describes herself as a Millennial – Producer, dramaturg, director and Writer. She was the Dramaturg for Alphabus Manchester International Festival (2019).
Nicole is Associate Producer and Dramaturg at the theatre company Fio. She also was the Writer and Dramaturg for Timelines performed at RawFFest (2019).
Nicole is a member of the UpRisingGM Advisory Board.
Nicole is a graduate from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts with a BA (hons) Music, Theatre and Entertainment Management.
On behalf of the British Council, she taught a writing residency in Colombo and performed at Galle Literature Festival (2019).
She was one of twelve poets commissioned from BBC and Forward Arts Foundation to write the North West Poem for National Poetry Day 2018. Nicole has performed and taught spoken word and performance both nationally and internationally, as part of Young Identity and as a solo performer and practitioner.
Nicole received a fellowship and established AndWhat TV.

Jo Taylor
Trustee
Jo has over 20 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser in Big 4 global professional services firms. She advises Private Equity Funds and their portfolio companies on M&A transactions.
She’s a former trustee of a Manchester youth homelessness charity, where she chaired the finance committee, and is a governor of a primary school in Wythenshawe where she chairs the Finance, Premises and People sub-committee.

Rob Venables-Greaves
Trustee
Rob qualified as chartered accountant with PwC where he went on to manage the audits of a diverse portfolio of clients. His professional experience also includes a stint at a large North West accountancy and audit practice as their Technical Director.
Latterly, he has returned to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) as a Quality Assurance Department (QAD) manager.
Rob plays cornet in ‘Sale Brass’ band and also serves on the band’s committee. As well as a passion for music, he enjoys rugby, reading and, of course, the theatre.
